Lucy Cooke

Lucy Cooke is an award-winning writer, broadcaster and documentary filmmaker with a Masters in Zoology from Oxford, where she was tutored by Richard Dawkins. She began her career working behind the scenes in TV comedy but is now an increasingly familiar face on natural history TV, having presented prime time series for BBC. She’s a regular on Radio 4, frequently guesting on Infinite Monkey Cage and Sue Perkin’s Nature Table as well as hosting her own series “The Power of…”

Lucy is the author of two previous books, A Little Book of Sloth, which was a New York Times bestseller and The Unexpected Truth about Animals, which was shortlisted for the Royal Society Science Book Prize and has been translated into 18 languages. She’s an accomplished public speaker and has performed to diverse audiences of up to 3000 from Glastonbury to TED Women.
