Princes in the tower

“We’re here to make you happy – we’re here to make you jive,
We’re here to make you party like its 1555!”

Princes in the Tower comprises
Michael Tyack – cittern, lute and vocals,
William Summers – crumhorns, rauschpfeife, flute,
Antony Elvin – percussion and vocals.
Their Early Music repertoire ranges from Medieval, through Renaissance to Hanoverian.

The band, an offshoot of the Medieval/Psyche/Prog band Circulus, is only ever contented when it’s made its audience sweat. This ‘Tudor power trio’ brings a rowdy peak to many a celebratory bash, festival and historical event.

At Port Eliot Festival, Princes performed ‘Sumer Is Icumen In,’ with Jarvis Cocker as a microphone stand! This received rapturous applause, broadcast on Sunday Service, BBC 6 Music, live from the festival.
Princes appeared on Julia Davis’ TV series ‘Hunderby’, BBC’s ‘The One Show’, ‘Poldark’, ‘Bridgerton’ and ‘Imagine’.
